Elsie M. Slawinski

Elsie M. Slawinski, 81, of Rosenberg, Texas passed from this life on December 7, 2011. Elsie was born June 1, 1930 in Beasley, Texas. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Adolph Slawinski; parents, Louis and Vilimina Coufal Holub; and brothers, Edmund Holub and Albert Holub. Elsie's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her children, Charles Ray Slawinski of Houston and Ginger Lay and husband, Richard, of South Houston; grandchildren, Coy Lay and fiancée, Paige White of South Houston and Dusty Lay of South Houston; brothers, Louis Holub and wife, Lucy, of Wharton and Leroy Holub Barbara Zulkowski of Beasley; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Holub and Dorothy Holub; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Her two grandsons loved her very much and were the apples of their grandmothers eye. She traveled far and wide to see them play ball and was always trying to do for them. When they were born it was evident that everyone else took second place. She was a member of the Avenue N Church of Christ in Rosenberg for many years. Her spiritual family will truly miss her absence in the pew, her continued love, and her hard work. Her family in God meant so much to her. The love and caring for each other was a mutual love. Elsie's glowing smile and generous heart will be missed by all. . The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00P.M. in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Funeral service for our beloved mother will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Mr. Bubba Garner and Mr. Gene Sanford will officiate the services. After the Interment there will be food and refreshments at the Fort Bend County Fair Grounds located on Hwy 36 South of Interstate 59. Palllbearers will include Coy Lay, Dusty Lay, Bill Baker, Michael Brown, Bobby Moon, Dino Ramirez, Troy Mican, Ben Perez. Honorary Pallbearers will include Norman Bryan, Leslie Kovar, Larry Koenig.
