Elizabeth C. (Delgado) Rodriguez

Elizabeth Delgado Rodriguez was born October 26, 1951 in Donna, Texas to Jesus and Bertha Delgado. She went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2020 at the age of 68. Liz, as she was known to family and friends, lived a good life and was greatly loved by many. Married to the love of her life, Exsiquio Rodriguez, on September 12, 1972. Liz went on to become a mother to two beautiful daughters, Cynthia and Sandra and eventually a grandmother to Ethan, Elliott, Alexis, Annalise, and Addison. Liz graduated from nursing school in Victoria, Texas. She began her career at Women’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. She loved being a nurse and worked several years in day surgery and eventually became a pediatric nurse. She was adored by her patients and their children. She retired from nursing in the year 2000. Liz lived to care for her family. Always the first person to support and celebrate the successes of her family members, she made selfless sacrifices to put her loved ones’ happiness first. She was an involved Mother to her daughters and Grandmother to her grandkids. All they had to do was ask, and Liz was there for all of them. Her kids and grandkids were her light and loves. She spent so much time with them and had a heart of gold. She was generous, passionate about life, a woman of Christian faith, and an avid reader. She loved her “Luv ya Blue,” Houston Oilers and enjoyed watching classic black and white movies. She loved music, her favorites were Frankie Valli, Vincente Fernandez and the Beach Boys. Liz is survived by her husband Exsiquio, daughters Cynthia (Russell), Sandra (Joshua), her mother Bertha Delgado. Survived by siblings- Frank (Carmen), Charles, Mike (Robin), Jesse Jr. (Linda), Bertha, Eva (Albert), Elvira (Robert), Elsa, Emma (Jose), Robert (Angelica), Nora (Oscar), and Elva, plus numerous nephews and nieces. Liz was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Delgado, and her brother, Enrique Delgado. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, located at 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd, Rosenberg, Texas 77471, on August 3, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on August 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel with interment immediately following the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pallbearers will be Michael Delgado, Marcus Gutierrez, Jose Sanchez, Jr., Edward Sanchez, Gabriel Torres, and Aaron Trevino. Honorary Pallbearer is Ethan Frausto.
