Donald R. Klingle

Donald Ray Klingle of Dayton, Texas passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 in Kingwood, Texas. Donald (Doc) was born on November 16, 1935 in Beasley, Texas to parents Tehkla (Muegge) and Fred Klingle. Doc graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School where he played on the football team. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed overseas in Japan. After leaving the Navy, he became a Plant Operator with DuPont at the polymer plant in Victoria Texas until he retired. During his professional life, he served as a Master Mason with the Shriners Grand Lodge of Texas. During retirement, he loved restoring historic homes, woodworking, oil painting and playing the banjo. He is survived by his three children, Regina Klingle Morales (husband, Vincent); Mike Klingle (wife, Katherine) and Kandi Klingle Stimson (husband, Jay); grandchildren: Christopher Morales (wife, Vanessa), Justin Morales (wife, Brooke), Sarah Griffin (husband, Jeff); Scott Klingle (Wife, Laura); Holly Stimson and Logan Stimson; along with his great grandchildren: Madelyn Morales, William Morales, Parker Morales, Cadence Strnadel, Adaline Griffin, Lorelai Griffin, Emerson Klingle and Eloise Klingle. In addition, his second wife, Gayla Schwarting Jansen Klingle and her sons Jared and Jeremy Jansen and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Louis Weiss Klingle, his parents Fred and Tehkla Klingle; brothers, Fred Klingle, Jr, Walter Klingle, Red Klingle; sister Dorothy Klingle Vasquez and Grandson-in-law CJ Strnadel IV. A Service celebrating Doc’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Burial with military honors rendered by the U.S. Navy to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association supporting dementia research or Dementia Society of America helping families dealing with dementia.
