Christine Evelyn Pavlicek

A Funeral Mass for Christine Evelyn Pavlicek, 94, of East Bernard, Texas, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in East Bernard. Father Don Ruppert will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P .M., Wednesday, May 30, 2007 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M., at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. Christine was born July 25, 1912 in Frelsburg to Josef and Marie Kulhanek Canik. She passed away May 28, 2007 in East Bernard. Christine loved cooking and gardening. She took pride in her yard and mowing her grass. Christine loved taking care of her animals, but most of all, she loved family gatherings and spending time with her family. She loved her grandchildren and called them her little pumpkins. She will be loved and missed dearly by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anton F. Pavlicek; her parents, Josef and Marie Canik and her siblings, Mary Janish, Joe Canik, Bertha Wostarek, Alfred Canik, Rudolf Canik and August Canik. Christine is survived by: Children: Shirley Karasek and her husband, Wilburn, of East Bernard, Margie Meeks and her husband, Danny, of Richmond, Leroy Pavlicek of East Bernard, Anton J. Tony Pavlicek and his wife, Pam, of Brenham; Grandchildren: Christie Meyer and her husband, Shawn, of Katy, Kelly Halcom and her husband, David, of Glen Rose, William Karasek of East Bernard, Brittainy Gooding and her husband, John, of Richmond, Lindsey Meeks of Austin, Anthony Pavlicek and his wife, Kathy, of Fort Collins, CO, Whitney Pavlicek of Brenham; Great Grandchildren: Naytin Meyer of Katy, Cody, Westen and Kyla Halcom, of Glen Rose; Sisters: Vlasta Vasek of Frelsburg, Toni Halfmann of Frelsburg, Hermina Kubicek of Frelsburg; Sister-in-law: Lorene Canik, of Fayetteville; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
