Charlie A. Pavlik

Funeral services for Charlie A. Pavlik, Sr., 86, of Richmond will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 18, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, May 17, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Charlie was born on October 22, 1922 to Antoine and Fannie Pavlik. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the early 1940's. Charlie was a member of the Labor Union for 35 years and served 18 of those years as a business agent. He also was a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Fort Bend County during the 60's working under Robert L. "Tiny" Gaston. Charlie enjoyed playing dominoes at the Avalon Place in Wharton, where he resided for the past few years. He went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2009 in Wharton. Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Gross Pavlik; parents, Antoine and Fannie Pavlik; brothers, Victor and Albert Pavlik; half-brothers, Antoine and August Pavlik; and great grandson, Kent David Buchta. He leaves behind his children, sons, Lonnie Pavlik and wife, Melissa and Charlie Pavlik, Jr.; daughter, Mary Ann Norton; grandchildren, Lisa Anderson Christian and husband, Roy, Clinton Anderson and wife, Carrie, Angie Buchta and husband, David, Ian Norton and wife, Erica, Evan Norton and wife, Katie, Isaiah Pavlik; great-grandchildren, Cole and MaKenna Christian, Cheyenne Anderson, Katelyn Buchta, Aiden and Eli Norton, Maeve, Severyn and Colin Norton; along with other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Gonzalo "Chalo" Jaramillo, Paul Pultar, Jose Lara, Armando "Peewee" Rendon, Jose Rendon, Dan Brubaker, Josh Brubaker and Jerry Orsak.
