Alondra M. Trojacek

Alondra Marina Davis Trojacek was born September 15, 1958 in Durham, North Carolina to Larry and Mary Davis. The family later relocated to Victoria, Texas where she graduated from Victoria High. She went on to attend Texas Women's University and received a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. She dedicated herself to her profession and to helping those with cancer. Her many endeavors included working at MD Anderson as an oncologist nurse. She also collaborated with the late Dr. John Stehlin with pancreatic cancer research to develop a better treatment. This project was recognized in JAMA The Journal of the American Medical Association. She currently worked in a similar field at Memorial Hermann at Memorial City. Alondra married her beloved husband, Mark Owen Trojacek, on August 16, 1983. They resided in Richmond, Texas where they raised three beautiful daughters. Her interests include reading, camping, vacationing at the beach, gardening, decorating, singing, traveling, education, and spending time with her precious grandchildren. Alondra was passionate about life and family and would help anyone in need. She was a strong believer that anyone could succeed if given the chance. She touched the lives of those who knew and loved her. Alondra is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Susie Eveleen Davis and her maternal grandmother Lucille Tilley. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 29 years Mark Owen Trojacek, her daughters Amanda Dickson and husband Mike, Erin Trojacek, and Laura Trojacek; three wonderful grandchildren, Dub and Brantley Dickson and Kyle Wilcox; parents Larry and Mary Davis; mother-in-law Marian Trojacek; siblings Michael Davis, Alicia Davis Epps and husband Wesley, Kathy Davis Estes and husband Joel; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Faith United Methodist Church, 4600 FM 359 Richmond, TX, with Pastor Ben Trammell, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, TX. Serving as pallbearers are Wesley Epps, Joel Estes, Don Trojacek, Steve Trojacek, Glenn Peloquin, and Neil Ballard.
