Adam Kubeczka

Funeral Mass for Adam Kubeczka, 85, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M., Monday, July 23, 2007 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Adam was born December 17, 1921 in Chappell Hill, Texas to Joseph and Helen Gorka Kubeczka. Adam and Adelia brought to Rosenberg the first fast food franchise in 1968. They owned the local Kentucky Fried Chicken for over 26 years. Adam and Adelia owned many restaurants in the local area including K-2 Steakhouse in Bay City, Texas, which is still in operation. Adams other passions included cattle ranching, farming and welding. He was also a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Adam went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2007. Adam is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Gorka Kubeczka; daughter, Mary Kubeczka; sons, Joseph Kubeczka and Daniel Kubeczka; brother, Eddie Kubeczka; and sisters, Cecelia Kolojaco and Gertude Scholwinski. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 66 years, Adelia Barcak Kubeczka of Rosenberg; Daughters: Patricia Kubeczka of Rosenberg; Beverly Shelton and husband, Boyd, of Houston; Sons: Glenn A. Kubeczka and friend, Loretta Jones of Little Rock, Ark; Gary L. Kubeczka and wife, Bri of Bay City; Sisters: Bernice Freudensprung of Richmond; Christine Pozyski of Dayton; Brother: Alex Kubeczka of Alvin; Grandchildren: Kyle Kubeczka, Adam Kubeczka, Aaron Kubeczka; Jordan Kubeczka; Claire Kubeczka Carter and husband, Brian; Briauna Lopez; Along with numerous other family and friends. Pallbearers will include Jordan Kubeczka, Claire Carter, Gregory Mensik, Sandy Freudensprung, Adam Kubeczka and Aaron Kubeczka.
