James B. Duke General Manager

James B. Duke is the General Manager of Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery. In that capacity, he oversees all phases of operation for Davis Greenlawn. He is a 1987 graduate of the Commonwealth School of Science in Houston, Texas. Currently, James is the President of the Needville Area Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as President of the West Fort Bend Optimist Club of Rosenberg. He is an active participant of the Rosenberg Lion’s Club, East Bernard Chamber of Commerce, Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, and the Rosenberg-Richmond Chamber of Commerce. James is also involved in the Fort Bend Leadership Program.  Additionally, James serves on the Ethics Committee for the Texas Funeral Director’s Association and is an active participant of the Texas Funeral Director’s Association. He is a board member of the Southeast Texas Funeral Director’s Association. James is the former President of South Central Texas Funeral Director’s Association. James and his wife, Dana, reside in Rosenberg with their two pet dogs, Bailey and Hank. James and Dana both attended Lamar Consolidated Independent School District. Dana is a Paraprofessional Teacher with the Katy Independent School District. They have been married 22 years. James enjoys family activities, landscaping, antiques, spectator sports, and supporting his community.

Tyler Ann Rodriguez Funeral Director

Tyler Ann Rodriguez is a native Houstonian and joined Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in January 2003. She graduated from the High School for Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice in Houston and later went on to graduate with Honors from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services.  Tyler Ann and her husband Greg reside in Richmond and recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Logan Reed Rodriguez in November 2007.  Tyler Ann enjoys spending time with her family, watching the Astro's play and gardening.

Joseph W. Merchant, Jr. joined Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in May 2008 as a Funeral Director and Embalmer.  Joe was born in San Diego, California while his father was in the Marine Corps.  His family returned to the Beaumont area and Joe graduated from High Island High School in 1977.  After working for Mobil Oil in Beaumont for 8 years, Joe attended the Institute of Funeral Service where he received his Associates degree in Mortuary Science in 1990.  Joe has resided in Katy for the last year after moving from Houston.  Joe has 3 step-sons, 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.  His hobbies are classic cars, country western dancing and antiques.

 

 Family Service Counselors

Bill Dybala Family Service Counselor	William (Bill) J. Dybala has recently joined the staff of Davis-Greenlawn in the Family services department. Bill is a lifetime resident of the Rosenberg area, born in Richmond, attending school in Needville and graduating form Texas A & M University. After college, Bill was in retail for many years in Rosenberg, most recently Bill’s Price-Lo Foods. After thirty years in retail, Bill felt he was ready for a career change and joined the staff of Davis-Greenlawn. Bill has a son Chris and a daughter, Kimberly. Chris is the owner of Dybala’s Auto Repair and Custom on Hwy 36 and Kimberly is currently attending college. As a family service counselor, Bill assists families with pre-need planning such as cemetery spaces, memorial markers, and pre-arranged funerals. Pre-arranging these needs has become as normal as writing a will and the family services counselor guides families through many decisions regarding these arrangements.
Janie Osuna Family Service Counselor	Janie Osuna has been living in Fort Bend County for 50 years. She has four children and seven grandchildren. She has worked for Davis-Greenlawn for almost 30 years and enjoys being able to help people.
Juliana Elmore Family Service Counselor	Juliana Elmore is a native of Fort Bend County and has been with Davis-Greenlawn for 27 years.

Javier Cortez Cemetery Supervisor

Javier Cortez has lived in Rosenberg for 32 years. He is the Cemetery Grounds Manager has worked at the cemetery for over 30 years. He is married and has three children and two grandchildren.
